Testimonials

“It was a pleasure to work with Crosspoint Communications for the ideas, development and design of our new website. I was impressed with how simple it was for us to provide information that was perfectly organized and presented on the web. Our website is our receptionist of the Internet and first impressions are key. Thank you Amelia!"

"I am very excited to use Amelia again for my one year anniversary. I can hardly wait to see what she has in store to promote my business at this time in the community! She was a great asset to growing my business in the beginning (I had only been in business 5-6 months when I used her the first time).

I didn't know her before we met at the Abbotsford Chamber trade show in 2008 and I have met a lot of "PR" people but she stood out, not only because she teaches it at a University level, but because of her 'out-of-box' thinking. She truly believes in the philosophy behind Driving Miss Daisy which made her special too."

"Amelia has provided our company with a professional, insightful website design which we were most excited about launching. From the inception of the idea of the website, Amelia has offered up invaluable ideas and direction, while at the same time remaining flexible in allowing our input. We have been extremely impressed with her punctuality, time management, ability to meet deadlines and the care and thought she has put into providing a fantastic product."

"We contacted Crosspoint Communications to assist us in planning and hosting our 2008 Convocation Ceremonies at Kwantlen Polytechnic University. The two-day affair went off without a hitch, due in large part to Amelia Kennedy-Maki's efforts in helping to bring together all of the necessary components of this large-scale event. Kwantlen's 2-day convocation ceremonies consisted of more than 600 graduates spread over four ceremonies with a total number of guests in excess of 2,300. Amelia was responsible for stage set-up, liaising with sub-contractors, and onsite logistics.

Not only is she extremely organized and efficient, she also has a dedication and vigor for what she does that shines through in her work. Amelia possesses an openness and willingness to listen---qualities paramount to an effective communicator that enable her to deliver on a client's vision. She brings fresh ideas to the table, knowing exactly what's needed to bring these ideas to fruition.

Her experience, abilities and positive attitude made for a wonderful working relationship, and we're so very pleased with the outcome of the event."

“When I met with Amelia the first thing that I noticed was that she was very professional and I knew that she would be great to work with. She offered to do some pro-bono PR work for our up-coming CD release show. Every day leading up to our show, it seemed that we were in every local newspaper. She even set up two interviews with the local papers. She called me every couple of days to see how things were going and to ask about new ways to promote our show. It was very obvious that she was working hard to get us the press we deserved. As a band, we have never received so much press and our show was a complete success - we even sold out the venue! To add to this - I don't remember any independent band getting as much publicity as we did.  I recommend Amelia at Crosspoint Communications to anyone who needs someone to take care of everything before the event. I know that she would be able to not only take care of the whole event from start to finish - but that she would commit herself to making the show a compete success. I can't wait to work with Amelia again. It was a complete joy."

"Our band, ViV SAVAGE, is admittedly one of the most-disorganized bands to grace the face of this planet. It is for that reason that we decided to ask Amelia and Crosspoint Communications to help us when it came time to release our music video. We saw her in action at another event, and knew that she could bring her particular flair to our event. Right from the start, she was organized and kept firing out great idea after great idea. We didn’t have to worry about anything; she booked the venue, arranged door prizes, notified media and got us press coverage, and most of all, kept us in check. She was in constant communication with us and kept the ball rolling. Everything she promised to do, she delivered. Our event went off smoothly; while the crowd had no idea how much hard work Amelia put into the show, we did, and we appreciate the personalised effort she put into the video release. We will not hesitate to use Crosspoint Communications for future events, and wholeheartedly recommend its services to anyone or any group."

"Amelia Kennedy-Maki helped Whistler Blackcomb make a great first impression on 1100 new employees in the 2005-2006 season by leading the design and production of the annual employee handbook. She is a great net-worker and ensured the many stakeholders involved in the project were satisfied with the final production. She proofed 85 pages of photos and text to ensure the final product was perfect. 1100 employees left Whistler Blackcomb with a handbook as a souvenir of their experience here and thanks to Amelia the handbook really captured the essence of employee life at WB for the 2005-2006 season."

"For the past five years Amelia has managed publicity for Fraser Valley Stage and is a Director of the Society charged specifically with that responsibility. Through her knowledge, skill and sense of those elements necessary to help sell our musical productions, we have received excellent media coverage. She publishes our newsletter and has also redesigned our logo and brand, as well as our web site. I highly recommend her versatile services."
